Grab the Deadly Secrets October YA box featuring Bluebird by Sharon Cameron! This box includes 4 wrapped gifts that bring the reading experience to LIFE!
A historical novel, set in postwar New York City.
In 1946, Eva swapped the ruins of Berlin for the bustling streets of New York City, moving from the fiery chaos of one conflict into the midst of another, decidedly chillier one. In this new arena, the quest for power overshadows moral values, and falsehoods are more common than truths. Eva is the guardian of a perilous secret: Project Bluebird -- a dreadful legacy of the concentration camps, with the potential to shift the global balance of power. Both American and Soviet forces are desperate to claim Bluebird, a prize that should never fall into any hands.
Yet, Eva's journey to America wasn't driven by the lure of secrets or the hunger for power. Nor was it the pursuit of a fresh start. Her singular mission in America is to seek justice. And to track down the Nazi who eluded capture.
I enjoyed this novel. Took a little bit for me to get into it however I did give it 4 stars. I really like the gifts in this box.
You may think this is just another WW2 story but it's not just that. I couldn't imagine how hard it must've been for every person who had to deal with horrible circumstances. The only thing that I can say without giving away too much is that in war, there aren't any winners. There just people who are too stubborn to quit and all it does is destroy all the lives of people who are right in the middle of it.

★★★★★Monique B.The gifts truly bring the story to life and perfectly match what’s happening in the story. For example-the main character might have gotten a bracelet from her best friend in the story. And then you get that bracelet as a gift! It’s so fun because it’s an immersive experience.
