We are so excited to share our April Adult hint, Modern Tudor Mystery! 💍🔪

The feminist fire of SIX the Musical combines with the dark murder-mystery of Knives Out to capture the psychological terror of the Tudor period, while staying both eerily familiar and entirely unknown to readers everywhere.

She knows what she’s getting into when she marries a billionaire businessman. She’s his sixth wife, after all, and was by his side (as his assistant) when his fifth marriage to an A-List actress fell apart.

But honeymoon plans go awry when a headless body is discovered near his summer home, forcing her to contend with two more of his exes: the first, who lives as a shut-in with her computers, carefully following his business' every move; and the fourth, who runs a bed-and-breakfast where she and her wife keep a steady eye on things—particularly his children.

In this clever and suspenseful reimagining of Tudor era betrayals, these three women become entwined in a deadly game of cat and mouse—with each other and their husband (or ex-husband), as his newest bride seeks to solve the puzzle of who the murdered woman is, who killed her, and whether her death has any connection to the other headless body from eight years ago.

On sale now through April 14th (or until we sell out!) this thrilling novel reimagines the Tudors in the twenty-first century. Boxes are expected to ship in late April.

Is this mockery?

This far I’m not impressed. I chose the adult boxes and yet the book (The Spanish Daughter) was awful and childish. The gifts felt lazy and seemed to be targeted to preteens. I want to love this concept but my first impression is regret. How are the books chosen exactly? The Spanish Daughter is immature, superficial, and redundant, who is choosing to read this?

The gifts truly bring the story to life and perfectly match what’s happening in the story. For example-the main character might have gotten a bracelet from her best friend in the story. And then you get that bracelet as a gift! It’s so fun because it’s an immersive experience.
