Bought this as one of the Black Friday sale items. I had no idea what I was going to do with it, but it looked interesting. My 21 year old daughter who DOES NOT READ looked at the box and was intrigued. I ended up giving her the box with the rule that she couldn’t open the gifts until the pages indicated. She was hooked. She read through to the first two gifts on the first night and said that they fit the story perfectly. The next night she said there was a plot twist that had her ‘shook’. Each night she is looking forward to reading more of the book. I wish I would have seen these when she was in middle school. The gifts got her hooked, but this book has kept her entertained enough to continue reading. She is now looking on the website to see what other books she might be interested in next.

I really love it!

The book was excellent. I read it in one sitting! But the quality of the gifts was lackluster. Only the first item of three was a nice quality item. The last gift was very faded and you couldn't even see the printing on it, while the storyline had been all about the vibrancy of that particular item. I feel like the idea is amazing, but the execution leaves something to be desired. I was trying a stand alone box to see if I wanted to subscribe and I won't be.

I'm not quite done yet, but I am loving this box!! The book was terrifying for the first 25%. It's still spooky at times, and what great twists! The first gift made me laugh out loud. I loved it! I can't wait to get to the final gift!

Loved this book. It was creepy, it had mystery, and I couldn’t wait to find out the ending. It would make a great movie. 🖤
